Documentary feature I produced on my own as part of my MA in TV Journalism. It is called InstaScam:

01

Getting offered a job on Instagram to promote jewellery? Sounds too good to be true? Sometimes, it is. Discover the world of online brands that sell over-priced Ali Express jewellery and promise influencer jobs, only to make people buy their products and never reply again. Can you contact them and get a refund? Can you report this as fraud? Are they registered companies? Inês Santos investigates one of these brands, Freya Treasures, and shows that not all is what it seems. A victim of this scam speaks up; a YouTuber shares how Freya Treasures deleted her two Instagram accounts; a commercial lawyer explains how these brands can be challenged. Can they legally rip you off? Or is this an InstaScam?

With the raging pandemic came the urge for a better work-life balance. The world embraced different styles of work, and the hustle culture started becoming a thing of the past. Time at the office was either shortened, or replaced with remote work, opening employees up to a world of possibilities. ‘The Office: Redefined’ explores 4-day work weeks, and the digital nomad lifestyle, and examines them under the lens of the pandemic. Considering the pros and cons of flexible working, it attempts to answer the question – is this the future of the office?

I worked as a Content Creator (Presenter) for the University of Sheffield’s YouTube Channel.

Here are some video examples:

Every year, thousands of Sheffield students descend on the Sheffield Arena for the final event of Varsity, ice hockey.

Journalism student Ines talks about her experience of self-isolating after arriving at the University of Sheffield from her home country of Portugal.

When the lockdown started, some of our students made the decision to move back to their homes. See how they’ve found their new routine for online learning, managed their wellbeing and kept in touch with friends.

Video I have done for the magazine I produced, UpRooted Magazine.

Celebrating foreign festivities in the UK: What are the differences?

Who doesn’t love holidays? It is a time to have fun, engage with your culture and/or religion, and be with your loved ones. But when moving to a new country, how do people keep in touch with their roots and celebrate their traditions? Júlia talks about the joyful and rhythmic Carnaval. Sanchari delves into the colourful Holi Festival. Huma shares her experience celebrating the holy Eid. And Vanny tells us more about the full-of-fireworks Chinese New Year. How do these four immigrants celebrate their traditional festivities in the UK?
