Freelance News Reporter for Greatest Hits Radio. I have already covered Essex, Norfolk, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Lincolnshire, and Salisbury.
- I quickly turn around same-day news, breaking news, and next day's Breakfast news;
- I also assist my colleagues with their interviews and writing scripts;
- I mainly find stories and interviewees in-patch, carry out interviews, cut audio clips, and write broadcast scripts and online articles;
- I covered Remembrance Day 2022 in Essex;
- I covered Autumn's Budget 2022 expectations and reaction in Essex.

BANG showbiz is an entertainment news agency which clients include Yahoo News, MSN and Apple News.
- I make videos for BANG using Premiere Pro and Wibbitz;
- I upload the videos into CMS;
- I write news articles;
- I present and make video reports for social media (Twitter, Instagram);
- I attend events on behalf of the news agency, where I film and carry out interviews. Until now, I have attended Capital's Jingle Bell Ball 2022, Just for Laughs comedy festival 2023, Comic Con London 2022, All Points East festival 2022, and Macklemore's London concert.
This freelancing role was offered to me following a summer work placement I did for them as part of my Master's in Television Journalism.

Demanding freelance role that turned into ad-hoc work when I started my Master's in Television Journalism.
Womanthology is an online magazine that champions female role models. It releases an new issue every two weeks.
- I approached contributors to take part in each issue;
- Wrote questions for contributors;
- Edited articles according to the magazine's style;
- Uploaded final articles and embedded images to its WordPress website.
- Now, I mainly write scripts and present a section of the magazine's podcast;
This job enhanced my editorial and interviewing skills. It was also my first experience working towards deadlines professionally, something I really enjoy. It also gave me a lot of contacts in the industry.
4/ Co-Host and Producer of 'A Cup of Chatter'
September 2019 - September 2021
Weekly current affairs radio show created by me and a course mate on the University of Sheffield's radio station. We then turned it into a Spotify podcast because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
- It featured in-studio interviews, vox-pops, social media polls and phone interviews;
- I co-hosted and produced the show;
- Came up with the concept and weekly ideas;
- Wrote all the scripts;
- When we turned the show into a Spotify podcast, I edited the episodes on Audacity.
Creativity, teamwork, presenting, and interviewing are the skills I mainly develop in this role.
5/ Content Creator at the University of Sheffield
February 2019 - June 2021
Casual work as a Presenter for the University of Sheffield's YouTube channel.
- I was given topics for videos and I had to come up with ideas to approach these topics and use creative ways to make them engaging;
I was able to use my creativity for this job, which is one of the things I like to do the most. It made me realise I want to work in a job where I have to be creative. It also enhanced my presenting skills.
6/ Bauer Radio News Mentoring Scheme
February 2021 - August 2021
Work placement during my undergraduate degree in Journalism Studies at the University of Sheffield.
I had a meeting every two weeks with a mentor from Bauer Media.
And I worked for Greatest Hits Radio Norfolk for one week and a half (July 26 - August 5);
- I worked on three stories on my own (approaching people, arranging interviews, cutting audio, writing scripts, and writing online articles);
- Supported my mentor and other colleagues with several stories, writing copy, cutting audio clips and writing online articles based on press releases.
7/ Interviewer for The Times Final Year Survey 2021
February 2021 - March 2021
I approached final-year students to complete The Times Final Year Survey 2021 and guided them through it.
- I interviewed 58 people whereas my target was 25;
- Received a cash bonus for winning a competition of interviewing most people during a specific weekend.
8/ The New York Times Student Brand Ambassador for BAM Marketing Agency
October 2018 - December 2018
This was a one-semester contract where I had to approach and convince people to buy an NYT subscription;
- I came up with creative ways to sell the product;
- Promoted the NYT on social media (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter);
- Received a cash bonus at the end of the contract for selling the most subscriptions out of my group.

1 / Mentor for the University of Sheffield Journalism freshers 2020/21
- I introduced myself to the students as a friendly face and point of contact for any enquiries they had;
- I answered all their enquiries through emails, video calls or met them face-to-face;
- Supported them throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.
2 / Mentee in the E-mentoring scheme of the University of Sheffield 2019/20 and 2020/21
The University of Sheffield launched a mentor programme where students were connected with a person working in the industry they want to have a career in. I signed up for it two years in a row, for Broadcast Journalism mentors.
- 2019/20 mentor was a TV Producer and Research freelancer;
- 2020/21 mentor was a Senior Broadcast Journalist at BBC.
3 / Mentor for the Rackham Awards Project 2021
Being a mentor for the Rackham Awards Project meant that I had to supervise a second-year University of Sheffield Journalism student when interviewing and writing a feature about a university's alumni.
- Being part of this project made me win a Rackham Rising Star award.
4 / Orientation Week and Global Ambassador
September 2019 - June 2021
I was an Ambassador for new International students at the University of Sheffield for two years.
I supported the students throughout Orientation week two years in a row, and my role was extended to the whole year, as a Global Ambassador.
During Orientation week, I:
- Registered new students;
- Worked in a team to solve problems for new students;
- Carried out Campus Tours;
- Guided and gave advice to new students;
- Served as an authoritative figure and friendly face for new students.
Throughout the rest of the year, I kept hosting weekly events for new students, like talks, game and movie nights, dance lessons, coffee hours, and campus tours.
In 2020/21, all the activities were moved online, so I had to engage and support new students through Zoom meetings.

1 / Presenter 'The Lounge' at Mind Station
August - December 2022
Presenter at Mind Station, a brand-new online radio with a focus on mental health and well-being.
- My one-hour show was called 'The Lounge' and it aired every Thursday at 9 pm.
- I had heartfelt conversations with guests from all backgrounds about topics surrounding mental health, from the pressure of studying a PhD, studying with ADHD, the cause for the high suicide rate in South Korea, and the mental health stigma in the pilot profession.
